(JNS.org) Three Palestinian terrorists involved in the June 2016 terror attack that killed four Israelis in Tel Aviv’s Sarona Market were convicted of murder Monday.

Two of the terrorists—cousins Mahmoud Mahamrah, 22, and Khaled Mahamrah, 21, from the village of Yatta near Hebron—stated they were influenced by the Islamic State terror group. 

The third terrorist, Yunis Aish Musa Zin, 22, also hailing from Yatta, was convicted of aiding and abetting the killers. Zin did not participate in the shooting, but confessed to supplying the cousins with weapons to carry out the massacre, including 12-inch knives coated in rat poison.

The terrorists’ attorney said he would appeal Zin’s conviction and seek a lesser charge for his client, maintaining “he had no part in the attack.”

The Israelis killed in the shooting were Ido Ben Ari, 42, of Ramat Gan; Ilana Neve, 39, of Tel Aviv; Michael Feige, 58, of Givatayim; and Mila Mishayev, 32, of Ashkelon. An additional 41 people were injured in the terror attack. 

The terrorists dressed in suits and dined on sweets at the Max Brenner restaurant in the crowded Sarona Market moments before executing the attack. The attackers “rose from their seats at the Max Brenner cafe, drew weapons and started indiscriminately shooting civilians,” Judge Sara Dotan said in her ruling at the Tel Aviv District Court.
