Five Arabs Indicted for Incitement Against Israel Over Temple Mount

(JNS.org) Five Arab residents of eastern Jerusalem were indicted Monday on charges of incitement to terrorism over actions including Facebook posts lauding the July 14 terror attack that killed two Israeli policemen near the Temple Mount.

The indictments were filed at the Jerusalem Magistrates’ Court by the Jerusalem District Attorney’s Office, and were submitted with approval from Israel’s Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit.

Among the indicted individuals, Mohammed Mahiymar, 19, used Facebook to praise the Palestinian terror group Hamas and make inciting posts in the wake of the Temple Mount terror attack.

“With a rock, a knife, an ax, a Molotov Cocktail or a lighter. Spontaneous without planning. Three martyrs came from Umm al-Fahm. A thousand consolations are with us and we are following you. We were raised on the holy way of death,” Mahiymar wrote hours after the attack.

In addition to the five indictments, the Israel Police Sunday detained 33 suspects who took part in violent riots that erupted during the recent Temple Mount crisis.
