(JNS.org) Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he sees “eye to eye” with President Donald Trump on the dangers facing the Middle East as the Israeli leader boarded his plane Monday for his first official meeting with the new American president.

"The alliance between Israel and America has always been extremely strong and it is about to get even stronger," Netanyahu said. "President Trump and I see eye to eye on the dangers in the region, but also about the opportunities. We will talk about both as well as upgrading the relationship between Israel and the U.S. in many, many fields.”

Trump and Netanyahu are expected to address a broad range of issues during their meeting Wednesday at the White House, from the regional threats posed by Iran and terror groups to Israeli settlement construction and the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
