(JNS) The Jerusalem District Court on Tuesday sentenced 20-year-old Palestinian terrorist Morad Rajbi to 15 years in prison for wounding two Israelis in an October 2016 attack.

The terrorist confessed to attempted murder as part of a plea bargain. He was also ordered to pay NIS 30,000 ($8,500) to the Jewish victims of the attack, Yaakov Lomega and Vadim Blakitzki.

On Oct. 19 last year, the terrorist rammed his motorcycle into Lomega before exiting the vehicle and attacking Blakitzki with a kitchen knife.

The terrorist had no prior criminal record. His defense argued that the attack was not nationalistically motivated because the terrorist suffered from depression and suicidal tendencies related to domestic abuse.
