GetKosher: A Great New Way to Order In

Did you ever call in an order to a restaurant, go out to pick it up, bring it home and sit down, only to discover that they forgot a vital part of you order? Did you wish they had your order in writing so you could show them exactly what was left out? Or better yet, so they wouldn't have made the mistake in the first place?

Well thanks to GetKosher.com you won't have to go through that ordeal again! With a user friendly platform and a bunch of Kosher restaurants to choose from, you won’t want to order food from your favorite restaurant any other way again! Instead of calling a phone juggling cashier, a beautifully designed website can take your order for perfect precision. Say goodbye to paper menus, being placed on hold, and getting the wrong food. With GetKosher, your information is securely stored so re-ordering is a snap!

Founder of GetKosher.Com, Morris Sued.

Morris Sued, the sites founder, said he thought of this idea with his father as they were discussing business ideas and, ironically enough, picking up food!

Explained Sued, “The whole experience was a tremendous hassle-having to find parking, waiting in the restaurant, and finally getting our food after a long wait. In the age of internet, why should ordering Kosher food be so difficult?”

The two reasoned that it shouldn’t! And that was the moment GetKosher was born.

The site was started in January 2013. Similarly to its non-Kosher counterparts, Seamless or GrubHub, you go to Getkosher.com and create an account. Next, you choose from the restaurants near you, specify between pick up or delivery, and enter your order!

The key difference between GetKosher and other delivery food sites is like going to a kosher supermarket over a non-kosher one. You can be sure everything they offer is kosher to the fullest extent possible. They even specify the types of Kashruts for each restaurant. The site also offers rewards and discounts including an automatic 5% off on your first order!

When asked what was the most difficult part of starting up his business, Sued explains, “It wasn’t as easy as we thought it would be to sign up kosher restaurants. It was a no brainer and we thought every restaurant will signup! It’s guaranteed sales or they pay absolutely zero. Bringing them incremental sales to their bottom line. There were no monthly fees, no minimums, and no contract. Restaurants didn’t seem to think this way and getting the first 20 restaurants signed up was difficult.”

It’s smoother sailing now that Sued has proven sales. Among the restaurants Sued has signed up to his site is Pizza Time, Subsational, Joseph Dream Burger, Sushi Tokyo, Bravo Kosher Pizza, Jerusalem Cafe, Schnitzel Express, and Dougies.

Sued also has a message to new entrepreneurs starting up:

“Get rich quick jobs don’t exist. It doesn’t matter how great of an idea you have, it takes time for everything to fall into place,” explained Sued, “When I first started, I became very discouraged because of the lack of orders. It was tough having to find new drivers almost every week. It takes time, but don’t give up and it’ll all work out.”

A very true statement indeed. We wish Morris Sued and Getkosher.com all the success in the world! Don't forget to log on the next time you feel like ordering in!
