Steve Bannon Slated to Address Zionist Organization of America Gala in November

(JNS.org) Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon is scheduled to speak at the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) gala dinner in New York City Nov. 12.

“All I can tell you is Steve Bannon is going to be at the dinner,” ZOA President Morton Klein told The Atlantic.

“[Bannon] is one of the best friends that Israel has had in any administration,” said ZOA policy adviser Arthur Schwartz.

Although the details of Bannon’s appearance at the ZOA gala have yet to be finalized, unconfirmed reports state that he may introduce American business magnate and philanthropist Sheldon Adelson, a major backer of ZOA.

Bannon was scheduled to attend the 2016 ZOA gala, but did not appear.

After Bannon was recently ousted from the Trump administration, reports detailing his views on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict started to emerge.

Bannon aggressively petitioned President Donald Trump to relocate the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, but was blocked by Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner, Vanity Fair reported last week. Additionally, when Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas visited the White House in May, Bannon boycotted the meeting, sending a text message to a friend stating that he would not “breathe the same air as that terrorist,” according to Vanity Fair.
