The Trap That Sets Us Free

Nothing can be both true and false at the same time. However, some individuals live under the yoke of such contradiction. This sentences them to a life imprisoned in an irrational universe - a place that is not ruled by eternal and immutable laws, and therefore cannot be understood by a rational mind. In fact, insanity works best here. How can one move forward, make progress, or achieve a goal in a haphazard world filled with chaos and inconsistencies?  Yet, some people choose to dwell in such a place. They erect superstructures that rest upon false foundations.  They draw conclusions that are derived from false premises. Their metaphysics is inaccurate because their epistemology is ineffective. In other words, their worldview is distorted because their method of understanding is inadequate.  Emotions are not tools of cognition and therefore we lead them astray. In their world, what is true today is false tomorrow and vice-versa. What wasn’t reasoned into them cannot be reasoned out. Logic is a wrecking ball that threatens their illusion, so they avoid any-and-all contact with it.

And the taller their superstructure the greater the investment and the more there is to defend. But what is there to defend? What is it that disintegrates in the presence of logic? What falls by its own weight from the slightest breeze of truth? And when it crumbles, what does it reveal? The answer to all the above: an imaginary reality. A place where there are square triangles and straight circles; a place where the laws of nature suspend themselves on behalf of the deluded mind; a place where mind is subordinated to emotions. The only antidote to such derangement is logic, and only if he who is afflicted is lucid enough to accept the cure.

But to give up the fantasy is to surrender to the real world – a place clearly defined by the unchanging natural laws that govern all who occupy it. Surrendering to “what is” places truth above beliefs and intellect above feelings. Even the loftiest of imaginations must harmonize with reality if it is ever going to materialize.  Once exposed to the truth, we become trapped within its confines while we are simultaneously and instantaneously liberated from the falsehoods and misconceptions that have frustrated our quest for a happy and effective life.  Logic, man’s only method of discovering the truth is, indeed, the trap that sets us free

No man invents the truth; we must discover it. And once we do, we are automatically elevated to higher ground. Welcome to reality – the only place where dreams come true; the only place where one’s imagination can be put to good use. It is here and only here that what we once conceived can now be perceived; that what was once an abstract idea can now physically come to fruition.

The more one lives in the real world, the more one cherishes it. But to get there we must use our only tool of cognition – the intellect. We must gather data provided by our senses and integrate it without contradiction into the total sum of our knowledge. We must be willing to discard those beliefs that do not tally with reality. We must break free from the inaccuracies that have been misguiding us, even if those who are well meaning have lovingly passed them along. And it is logic that allows us to do this. It is by logic that we reach objective conclusions and gain knowledge. All truths are the product of logic.  It is logic that saves us from living in a world of lies by locking us up in reality and throwing away the key. Yes, logic is the trap that sets us free.

The goal is to guide the individual back to health using natural and nutritonal methods. By removing the causes of disease and establishing conditions of health we allow the body to most powerfully manifest its natural healing tendencies.
